Rapper Randy S.A.V with the F.I.R.E

With the upcoming summer release of his EP, “Exotic”, rapper Randy S.A.V is using his talents to merge the gap between different genres of music. By incorporating aspects of various genres such as rock & roll and rhythm & blues, S.A.V’s versatile style allows him to explore and create new sound, unchartered by any artist in the industry today.
Hailing from Roosevelt, New York, S.A.V surrounded himself with music playing throughout the house, and it was the music from the 70’s and 80’s that sparked his interest in music. By the time he reached high school, he decided on a musical career. Growing up, S.A.V naturally enjoyed the music of The Notorious B.I.G and Tupac, but he also liked the sounds of Jay-Z, the Wu Tang Clan, and Bone Thugs ‘N’ Harmony. He expressed his current admiration for the authenticity of artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and Currency and their ability to make chart topping mainstream songs as well as popular underground music.
”Everyone is different but you would never know it if everyone is doing the same thing,” said S.A.V. With his team, Area 21, including artists Dr. Jekel and Young Gramz, S.A.V writes, creates, and produces music. The group prides itself on being original and different and is not afraid to stray away from the norm when it comes to their music or brand.
You can catch S.A.V and other artists from Area 21 performing around New York City and Long Island area. Watch the video for “Where’s the Fire” off The Upper Hand mixtape and be on the lookout for S.A.V’s EP “Exotic” this summer.
